(SS/DSJ) Examination of cultural and social variation of humans. Comparisons of similarities and differences between human groups. Examples from diverse cultures around the world will be presented with an emphasis on the major elements of culture. Topics may include language and communication, belief systems, kinship, economic, social, and political systems, race and ethnicity, sex and gender, and sustainability.
