AEGS 101 - Diversity and American Culture

Students will examine their own complex identities and experiences as they are constituted through sociohistorical contexts and relationships of power. By way of critical self-reflection and analysis of works by fiction writers, artists, activists, historians, and sociologists, students will explore the intersections of race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, and ability in relation to lived experiences and larger social systems.
