HUMAN 320 - Women’s and Gender Studies-Advanced Credits: 5
(H/SS) This is an interdisciplinary upper divisional introduction to the scholarly field of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. It explores gender and sexuality in history, literature, culture, media, and various theoretical perspectives including, but not limited to, Feminist Theory, Queer Theory, and Intersectionality. The course aims to give students a solid intellectual foundation for the further study of gender as it operates in multiple social, cultural, political, and geographic locations.
Prerequisite: Students must be accepted into a bachelor’s program at Olympic College or have instructor permission. Students must have completed ENGL& 101 or the equivalent with a 2.0 or better. Students who are not in a bachelor’s program at Olympic College should take AEGS 205 . HUMAN 320 is not a continuation of AEGS 205 . 5 hours Lecture
