MEDA 200 - Medical Reimbursement Issues for Ambulatory Settings

Introduction to billing principles which are key to maximum reimbursement. Focuses on Medicare regulations and how they impact physician payment, auditing of claims’ documentation, analysis of denied claims, and how to appeal claims denial. Current billing practices will be reviewed.

Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment or completion of MEDA 163 with a grade of 2.5 or higher.
