NURSE 146 - Nursing Care of the Older Adult
Credits: 2
Introduces students to the expected progression of growth and development with common age-related changes of the older adult, health promotion, disease prevention, maintenance of common chronic conditions to optimize health, and palliative care. Ethical and legal aspects, the influence of social determinants of health, as well as appropriate communication for a diverse geriatric population will be incorporated.
Prerequisite: NURSE 146 - Nursing care of the older adult
