NA 121 - Nursing Assistant Practicum: Employed NAR

In this course, Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) students hired by an approved care facility apply knowledge and basic technical, personal care, and restorative skills while caring for clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Prepares students for obtaining certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Washington. (64 hours of clinical experience are completed at the approved care facility, 16 hours of guided lab practice are completed on campus in the skills lab setting.)

Prerequisite: Proof of employment at an approved sponsoring facility, NAR credential, and permission of Program Director. Course grade of 2.0 in NA 105 and NA 115. Complete all required health & safety documentation, including passing a DSHS background check, by week three of the quarter.
