(H) This course is an introduction to the basic skills in production and comprehension of American Sign Language (ASL). It includes the manual alphabet, numbers, and basic vocabularies along with the development of conversational ability, culturally appropriate behaviors, and it exposes students to ASL grammar. This course requires significant time learning this language inside and outside of class.
