PSYC 202 - Biopsychology Credits: 5
(Social Science, Natural Science) Biopsychology is focused on the structure and function of the nervous system. The fundamental principles of neuroscience will be the starting point of this course, offering the foundation for understanding and discussing complex psychophysiological inquiries. This course will cover the perspectives, questions, and techniques of brain cell structure and function, neural communication, neurotransmitters, neurological disorders and treatment, brain development, and neural systems responsible for motivation, learning, emotion, stress, sleep, sensation, perception, and consciousness. Prerequisite: PSYC& 100 with a grade of 2.0 or better. BIOL& 160 or BIOL&175 are highly recommended 5 hours Lecture
