CS 243 - Software Development Tools Credits: 5
Students will learn the tools of modern software development from the ground up. This begins by learning to use an industry standard editor, along with its efficiency-boosting AI-powered capabilities. Students will learn to organize their code and development processes with a version control system. They will also learn to work on code hosted on remote Linux boxes via (Secure Socket Shell)SSH and how to configure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to deploy code to production environments. In short, students will learn a variety of tools for working with code, managing it, moving it from place to place, and for automating such processes. Formerly N/A
