Return to: Degrees and Certificates
The core of the Music curriculum for students who want to transfer and major in Music is found in the two-year music theory curriculum, music ensembles, and private instruction in the student’s performance area. All students will have the opportunity to develop their musicianship skills through applied instruction with OC’s world-class music professors and through ample performance opportunities throughout the school year.
Because most 4-year transfer programs require music students to enroll in music ensembles and private music lessons every quarter, we have included that requirement for OC music students as well.
Students wanting to transfer should complete the Associate in Arts (AA-DTA) degree. Students should work closely with an advisor at the baccalaureate institution they plan to transfer to before analyzing their education plan.

Quarter by Quarter Plan
The following is a suggested sequence of courses to meet the requirements for this degree. This plan assumes a student starts in Fall Quarter, has tested into college-level English and Math, and wishes to maintain a full-time courseload. We strongly recommend students meet with an Advisor within their first 2 quarters at Olympic College to review their Quarter-By-Quarter Plan. |
