Leadership and Business Management (AAS-T)

This program is designed to begin to prepare students for leadership and managerial roles in various environments. 

The program Mission Statement is: “To develop future leaders and managers by providing basic leadership and managerial skills, an understanding of their role in influencing groups of individuals to accomplish organizational goals while adopting strategies that foster critical thinking, professional growth, and an inclusive mindset. “

Program Learning Outcomes

 

1.  Identify and analyze actions that promote legal and ethical conduct.

2.  Develop and apply effective oral and written communication skills as they relate to professional environments.

3.  Identify, interpret and apply cross-cultural practices that promote an environment of inclusion.

4.  Apply technology to research, analyze and present information for decision making

5.  Explain and apply basic theories and approaches to leadership and management practice.

6.  Develop and apply strategies that foster personal and professional growth.

Professional Technical Studies (30 credits)


American Council on Education (ACE) approved military career field for E-3 and above. Leadership & Business Management (LBM) courses or courses from the student’s chosen technical field. Requires both 30 credits from a technical field and faculty approval.

The following is a suggested sequence of courses to meet the requirements for this degree. This plan assumes a student starts in Fall Quarter, has tested into college-level English and Math, and wishes to maintain a full-time courseload. We strongly recommend students meet with a Faculty Advisor within their first 2 quarters at Olympic College to review their Quarter By Quarter Plan.
