Welcome to Olympic College!

Greetings Olympic College Rangers,

I hope you are as excited as I am for the start of the new academic year at Olympic College! We are so pleased to welcome you back to campus for classes, events and activities, and student support services.

We worked hard to ensure access to on-campus courses this fall. We are offering more than 800 classes with an in-person component, plus many more that are offered online. We are proud to provide greater flexibility to our students than ever before, to meet each of you where you are.

Classes are only part of what makes up a college, of course. The student events and activities that take place on our campuses help build a sense of community at Olympic College. We’ve recently hosted concerts, film screenings, club meetings, and many more events, and plenty more will be on offer in the coming year. And if all those activities make you peckish, we offer full food services at our Bremerton campus, and fresh food through self-serve Avanti Markets on the Poulsbo and Shelton campuses.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve learned to offer student support online, which we know many students have appreciated - especially those with busy schedules. But we recognize that many students prefer to get help face-to-face, and we’re happy to let you know that student services are available on-campus. If you are just starting at Olympic College, a good place to get visit is our Welcome Center, located in Bldg. 4 on the Bremerton campus, where you can get help with financial aid, registration, advising, and more.

I am also excited to announce that one of our long-term projects, Guided Pathways, is coming to fruition. Guided Pathways is a research-based initiative that aims to close equity gaps and improve graduation rates by grouping the college’s courses into programs of study that give students clear pathways to their chosen major or career. With the launch of our new website, it will be easier than ever for our students to visualize and map out the academic pathways available to them. We are confident this will set them down a clear path to academic achievement and long-term success in their chosen fields.
