SOC 115 - Crime and Society Credits: 5
(SS/DSJ) This introductory course provides students with a foundational understanding of the American criminal justice system. Students will learn about the empirical reality of crime as well as the primary actors, institutions and processes involved in the criminal justice system. Crime and reactions to crime will be examined as part of the social and institutional life in contemporary American society.
Prerequisite: ENGL& 101 with Grade of 2. 4 or better is recommended. 5 hours Lecture
