CONST 100 - Introduction to Construction Industry

This is a combination/lecture and lab course which includes, introduction to the construction industry, occupations and careers in the industry, construction and worksite safety, knowledge, skills and attitudes required, trade unions, apprenticeships, and building codes. The lab portion includes measuring and laout, hand and power tool identification, use, care, maintenance and safety, building materials and supplies, PPE, job site safety and working conditions, safely working at heights, along with supervised student practice and course project assignments.
