SOC 271 - Social Deviance Credits: 5
SS - Social Sciences In this course students will focus on the sociological analysis of deviance in American society, with a specific emphasis on social power. Through the use of empirical research, students will explore competing definitions of deviance, the development and consequence of deviant identities and careers, and the organization of deviant activities.
Prerequisite: Accuplacer placement in ENGL& 101 strongly recommended. 5 hours Lecture
