AEGS 320 - Health Justice Credits: 5
H - Humanities In this course, key frameworks and strategies for health equity will challenge us to think about the relationships between health and social justice. Is having access to healthy living a right or a privilege? How have stigmatization, criminalization, and other barriers impacted the health of marginalized groups? Such questions urge us to examine the forces leading to health disparities and to center health justice frameworks. We will draw from researchers and practitioners, and the wisdom, lived experiences, and artistic expressions of varying communities to develop culturally relevant approaches for achieving health equity and social justice.
