ENGL 150 - Diversity in Contemporary Literature Credits: 5
(H/DSJ) Through textual and cultural analysis, this course will cover the different ways in which Contemporary Literature, post 1950, represents struggles for social justice. This course explores how some Contemporary Literature depicts resistance against ideological norms. Contemporary Literature aims to understand how diverse authors negotiate power and privilege through personal, local, and/or global literary works. Texts may include novels, short stories, poetry, drama, graphic novels, social media, and pop culture.
