English (AA-DTA)

The English pathway is designed to meet Associate of Arts degree requirements for transfer to a variety of four-year college or university programs. Our diverse curriculum explores a variety of literature from around the world, emphasizing written arts and communication skills to engage in meaningful conversation and collaboration across differences. Courses in composition teach strong research practices, critical thinking, and rhetorical awareness. Courses in literature explore a diverse range of works and their historical and social contexts as well as the human experience. Courses in creative writing cultivate craft, expression, and imagination.
