Students who wish to become Sociology majors at a four-year institution should follow the distribution requirements for an Associate in Arts Degree. They should emphasize English to develop good writing skills. Mathematics skills are necessary to prepare the student for higher-level statistics courses for BA, MA, or Ph.D. Degrees. Competence in one world language is also required in almost all graduate programs. Students should work closely with an advisor at the baccalaureate institution they plan to transfer to before analyzing their education plan.

Criminal Justice Course Map
The Criminal Justice pathway is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year university and/or pursue a career in one of the many areas within criminal justice. Students can prepare for a broad range of careers within local, state or federal law enforcement, court systems or corrections. This pathway provides a strong academic foundation within the community college environment.
