The Aviation Technology Associate of Applied Science program (Aviation Technology | Olympic College) is offered in collaboration with Green River College and will prepare students for a career as an Airline Dispatcher. OC students complete general education courses at OC and aviation courses with Green River College. This AAS program directly transfers into the Green River College Bachelor of Applied Science - Aeronautical Science degree program which will qualify students for the 1000 hour restricted ATP.
Students gain a small amount of knowledge in related aviation fields in order to have a well-rounded education in aviation.
Note: Upon completion, students can obtain the Commercial Pilot Associate of Applied Science offered by Green River College by completing one additional course.
Program Outcomes
- Prepare for a position in the aviation industry.
- Employ their understanding of the integral parts of the global aviation industry through practical application of comprehensive aeronautical principles.
- Demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and diverse team of aviation professionals through proficiency in the skills and technology used in the aviation industry.
