CS 233 - Web Application Programming Credits: 5
(NS) Students will build and deploy a web application using an industry standard 1) backend server programming language, 2) frontend UI framework, and 3) relational database technology. Students will learn to organize a large codebase with multiple subsystems and how to decompose business logic and engineering requirements into database tables, migrations, code, and user interfaces. They will learn to design and build representational state transfer application programming interfaces (REST APIs) to decouple their frontend and backend stacks. They will also learn to leverage industry standard testing frameworks for both frontend and backend code.
Prerequisite: CS& 141 or CIS 142 5 hours lecture
